For diesel engine manufacturers, Tier 1 system integrators and retrofit aftertreatment system manufacturers, NxtGen has developed solutions to three critical challenges:
- Development of cost effective solutions to meet emission regulations;
- Increasing pressure on reducing CO2 emissions and fuel consumption; and
- Increasing aftertreatment system complexity and infrastructure requirements.
NxtGen's aftertreatment systems are effective in reducing emissions for many diesel engine applications and scale from small engines (gensets & TRUs) to large engines (locomotives and marine). NxtGen systems are ready for incorporation into aftertreatment systems for on-road and off-road vehicles, stationary and marine applications.
For diesel engine manufacturers, we significantly reduce NOx and particulate emissions while enabling engine manufacturers to increase fuel economy by 2 to 10 percent through engine recalibration. Regeneration of DPFs and LNTS is accomplished at lower temperatures than diesel fuel reducing fuel consumption for regeneration and there is the potential to reduce volume and precious metal loading of DPFs and LNTs to reduce system costs.
For retrofit aftertreatment system manufacturers, we minimize fuel consumption and reduce system manufacturing costs by enabling modular assembly of particulate filter only, NOx trap only, or combined particulate filter/lean NOx trap systems.
