Founded in 2004 by former employees of Ballard Power Systems (TSE: BLD) and QuestAir Technologies (TSE: QAR), NxtGen Emission Controls offers the powertrain industry innovative technology that balances environmental needs with new economic realities and enables the industry to build clean trucks, automobiles, off-highway vehicles and commercial/industrial equipment for the 21st century.

NxtGen is privately held by its employees, management and private equity investors. Our technology team has over 130 person-years of experience in hydrocarbon fuel processing to produce syngas, and in the integration and control of syngas systems. Our management team has over 80 years of experience in the diesel industry. Our technology has been validated in engine test cells using industry standard test cycles and protocols, and is now on the road for field trials in commercial diesel trucks.

NxtGen's Corporate Headquarters and Technology Center is located in Richmond, British Columbia. Our Manufacturing and Application Engineering Center is located in Wixom, Michigan. At this second facility, volume production of Syngas Generators for retrofit diesel aftertreatment and niche original equipment applications will commence in Q4 2009.

We are moving forward with product commercialization starting with retrofit diesel aftertreatment systems. We are also developing syngas systems for original equipment applications. Syngas Generator Evaluation Units and application engineering services are available now.
