Responsibilities

• Generating design and packaging concepts for NxtGen prototype and products.
• Generating assembly drawings, client interface drawing.
• Generating detail manufacturing drawings.
• Checking of drawings to CDR and requirements.
• Perform tolerance stack up analysis.
• Change drawings as required as per ECN or as build status.
• Provide drawings for jigs and fixtures.
• Provide BOM for assemblies.
• Perform all work to company standards and guidelines.
• Maintain records of vendor drawings, design details/ decisions.
• Perform and document basic calculations.
• Source standard components.
• Apply design for manufacturing and assembly principals in order to reduce cost.
• Inspect parts/assemblies for compliance to design intend.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

• 3-5 years experience producing detail drawings for manufacturing shop
• Fluent with Solidworks and PDM works, excel.
• Good understanding of manufacturing methods both prototype level and higher volume manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of Design for manufacturing and assembly
• Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
• A strong sense of accountability and a desire to continually improve oneself.

Additional Beneficial Skills

• Excellent manual dexterity for wiring, soldering, assembly, tube bending and to use bench/hand tools
